About

Me

Computer Engineer working in European and international R&D projects.

Fields of interest

  • Network virtualisation (NG-SDN, NFV), control and data plane programming (P4).
  • Orchestration and automation: deployments, operation, pipelines.
  • Identity management and definition and application of security mechanisms.
  • Integrations of OAV (orchestration, automation, virtualisation) in cybersecurity and 5G/B5G/6G environments.

Work contributions

  • HE/6G-BRICKS
    • Experimental research facility to evaluate key 6G candidate technologies (RIS and CF-MIMO), established in testbeds under the Zero-Trust approach.
    • Site
  • CERVERA/Open-VERSO
    • Federated network to produce a 5G and B5G environment supporting RAN, multimedia and RINA use cases. NFV and AI are used as enabler technologies.
    • Site
  • H2020/PALANTIR
    • Framework that combines privacy assurance, data protection, incident detection and recovery techniques. Using NFV, AI and TPM at its core.
    • Site
  • ENCQOR
    • 5G disruptive technologies
    • Site
  • ICT-FLAME
    • Federation and deployment of 5G testbeds for urban testing of media retransmission.
    • Site
  • H2020/GN4-2
    • Virtual stack providing cloud resources (VMs, virtual switches) as well as SDN and NSI links on demand (L2). Centralised approach covering multiple sites from a single user portal.
    • Site
  • H2020/SHIELD
    • Virtual stack providing security NFVs as VMs or containers. These mitigate on-client and on-premise attacks. Logic is based on recommendations from the security engine.

    • Site
  • FP7/FELIX
    • Virtual stack providing VMs and SDN links on demand across sites in Europe and Japan. Links are interconnected via NRENs, usign the NSI framework. SDN to NSI segments are stitched (L2). Multiple sites interact using a hybrid (hierarchy & peer) approach.

    • Site
  • FP7/Fed4FIRE, H2020/Fed4FIREplus
    • Federation of open&free experimentation sites via network interconnectivity (L2) and web-of-trust.
    • Site
  • FP7/BonFIRE
    • Virtual stack providing cloud resources on demand. Centralised approach covering multiple sites from a single user portal.
